Hey M Girls!
M intern Christie here! I spent my Saturday in Riverside Park in NYC with some of our fave Nickelodeon stars for the Worldwide Day of Play kick-off event! When I got there, Leon Thomas from Victorious was about to sing the National Anthem for the Big Brothers Big Sister's 4k race!
I made my way to the Nickelodeon tent and found the one and only Daniella Monet! Since she was a panelist on the live Figure it Out taping (that was happening in the afternoon), I was super-excited to talk to her before she got covered in slime!

Daniela was inspired by our brand new "Juicy Texts" issue and wanted to share her texting tales:
Next, I chatted with Leon Thomas, and he showed off his copy of M -- what a cutie!

Check out his text talk here:
Then, it was time for the Figure It Out live show! The panelists, Matt Bennett (AKA Victorious' Robbie Shapiro), Gracie Dzienny from Supah Ninjas, Daniella Monet, and Lucas Cruikshank (FRED), were totally stumped by the contestant's secret talent! They had ice cream cones dumped on them! They started eating them and then decided to throw some into the crowd! When they did the "secret slime action", these Nick stars got COVERED in slime! Since they had super silly hats on (Matt's hat even had blonde braids attached to it) they didn't get too green! Matt even waved to me from the stage!

Right after the Figure it Out taping, Rachel Crow came out for a performance -- she did a great job!

Rachel started off her set with "My Kind of Wonderful" and then totally rocked out with "Forget You"! At the end of this song, she even hinted that she'll be filming a Nickelodeon show! She ended her performance with her empowering tune, "Mean Girls" -- it was awesome!
Afterwards, I went backstage and caught up with Rachel about the album she's working on, how she's loving Demi on X Factor, and her upcoming pilot!

It was such a fantastic day with the Nick stars at the kickoff to Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play! Don't forget to get outside and play on the official Worldwide Day of Play on October 6th!
Let's Dish:
-How will you celebrate Nickelodeon's Worldwide Day of Play on Saturday? Would you ever want to get slimed?
