Bench Blunder

After school one day, my friends and I decided to walk to a park that's near our school. After a while, it started to get dark but I thought it would be romantic if I grabbed my crush so that we could be together while the sun went down. I was so excited that I sat down on a bench and tapped the extra space next to me in a flirty way but he kept shaking his head. That's when I realized that he was trying to stop me from sitting on the bench with a "Wet paint" sign on it. My clothes and hands had so much sticky black paint all over them that I had to go straight home! So much for being flirty!
