I've liked this boy for 2 1/2 years but he's dating a girl that isn't very nice. Every time they break up this boy and I get close. But then when they get back together he starts lying to me about silly things and just isn't as nice. I'm totally heartbroken and don't know what to do. Any advice?

And Nicole's answer is:
"I've definitely had my heart broken. I think every teenage girl has in school. A guy that I really, really liked in high school never really noticed me. Luckily, I wasn't changing anything about myself to make him like me more because I already learned from that mistake before. In the end, I realized that we were much better off as friends -- but that realization came with time! It was hard but a click flick and a carton of ice cream never hurts. It works every time!"
