M's New Daily Celeb Advice Column!

lucas:jen lowery.jpgHey M Girls!

We have a BRAND NEW celeb advice column on mmm-mag.com. Each day at 8:00 PM/EST we'll post a reader question and have a different star answer it!! Today, we have Lucas Grabeel giving the deets on going through changes in school -- for yourself!

M Reader Lizzard24 asked:
I like this boy but he's so mean to me -- he made fun of me with his friends all the time last year! The thing is, we used to be buddies when I was a 6th grader and he was a 7th grader. Then all of a sudden he changed the year after! He stopped talking to me and deleted me off his friend list. I tried talking to him many times but he never responds. He even tells everyone that I'm annoying -- but I'm not doing anything! I'm not sure why he's doing this. What do I do to make him change his idea of me?

And Lucas' answer is:
"It's really hard to go through school and be yourself without caring what other people think of you. If you can think about life from a different point of view and take a step back, you'll realize that being upset and dealing with things like this isn't worth it. What does matter is being you and not changing yourself to make other people happy. Making somebody else happy in 8th grade isn't going to change your life 10 years from now. These middle school years are so important for you to be yourself and for you to do things that make you happy -- not that please other people! You may not realize it now, but focusing on yourself is the time when you're actually creating who you are. You're going to change plenty of times before you get to be in your twenties. You're going to do that forever! And that's fine. It's a part of life, as long as you're changing for yourself. You just have to be true to who you are!"
