I'm a really nervous and shy girl but I love to sing. I just can't perform in front of people. I got a new guitar a few months ago but barely play it in front of my parents. I want to be able to perform in front of my friends and family because I love to sing. How can I get over my shyness?
And Allison's answer is:
"Just go for it and have fun! I mean, obviously you're going to be nervous but you can take that nervousness and use it to help give you a boost! That's what I use my fright for. You'll be scared but once you're up there it's not so bad. I try to totally black everything out when I'm on stage and just have fun!"

I am shy to sing in front of people too. But when I start the song I love it. I was scared too, but I went for it and now I have a solo in the school Disney Show.

Whenever someone asks me to sing for them I always freeze because I don't know if I sound good. How can I get over that??

Great advice Allison Iraheta! I voted 4 Allison each day on Idol!!! She rocked! She really stood out from evry1 else! But in a good way of course!

Supposedly my 'bff' says that we were going to go see New Moon on friday together-the day it comes out. But yesterday she canceled on me out of the blue. I'm really mad at her and she's not even considered my bff anymore because bff's don't do that. So any advice?

I got some advice:
When performing start small like infront of a group of stuffed animals! It might seem stupid but this is what I did when I was overcoming my shyness. Then if you have a family pet, perform infront of it. It should slowly help. Again, it seems stupid, but it helped me BIG TIME with my shyness in singing!! And my last concert I got a solo!! Just imagine what your missing when you're so busy being shy!! You can do SO much!! This is what I say A LOT: if you love it, do it!
meaning if you love singing, sing as much as possible! I know I love singing and I'm ALWAYS singing!! I hope that I helped :)
