We couldn't see anyone but Robert Pattinson playing the role of Edward, but Mike Welch (who plays Bella's school friend, Mike) was originally up for the part! Mike reveals: "[Casting for Edward] never felt right and then I came back and auditioned for, Eric [Bella's other friend} and then eventually found the right fit with Mike."
