I'm allergic to everything, including dogs. Last week, my new boyfriend and I were walking around the mall when he insisted we go into the pet store. He LOVES animals, and in fear of him being turned off my allergy, I agreed. Bad idea. After only a few minutes of playing with the new puppies, I noticed a disgusted and freaked-out look on my BF's face. I jetted to the bathroom, only to realize that I was having a disgusting reaction: my face had tripled in size and my whole body was covered in a bright red rash. The next day, he claimed that even though he was sorry for what had happened, he just couldn't be with someone who "lies." Really, I think he just couldn't shake the gross image of his puffy-faced (ex) girlfriend from his mind. Then again, I kind-of understand...I seriously looked like a monster. EW!

First, u didn't lie about anything. 2nd, maybe it's good if he's gone. it sounds like all he cared about was an appearance.
im agreeing with ashley. but u shood hav told him the truth then u might hav not even gon in to the petstore so u woodnt of had to worry about it.
You didnt lie to him at all. You never told him that you were allergic. So he had no exscuse for breaking up with you. Although if you did tell him tou were allergic that you were allergic I dont think it would have been so embarrassing.

I'm an animal lover also, but I would completely understand. I don't believe your ex boyfriend understands the concept of 'allergies'.
