Whenever my friend's mom drives us somewhere, she always has the radio blasting songs that I absolutely can't stand! After putting up with it for awhile, I finally decided to take my iPod along for the drive. When my friend (her daughter) asked me what I was listening to I said, "I'm trying to drown out your mom's annoying music." I thought I was whispering and that there was no way she could hear me over the radio, but apparently I was louder than I thought. Her mom turned down the music just long enough to tell me that she didn't appreciate me criticizing her music choice.
