I had been crushing on my next-door neighbor for what seemed like years before we actually became friends. We started talking more and more and eventually we were walking to school together everyday. I even started spending extra time in the morning getting ready to look extra cute for him. One morning, I had picked out a really cute outfit and was feeling really confident. I was flirting with him on our walk to school and so far things were going really well. I even noticed he was flirting back a little. I was so happy until suddenly I smelled something absolutely disgusting. I looked at him and I could tell he smelled it too. I had no idea where it was coming from so I started looking around. It wasn't until he checked the bottom of his shoes that I realized the smell was coming from me. I lifted my shoe and to my horror there was dog poop all over it! He gave me the most disgusted face and held his nose. I had to go all the way back home by myself to change my shoes and to this day he always makes jokes about it on the way to school.
