The other day at lunch, I finally got to sit right next to my crush! That day, my mom packed me a can of Coca Cola with my ham and cheese sandwich instead of the usual water bottle. Drinking the fizzy sweet goodness made me feel really cool, which made me even more confident when talking to my crush. After I finished the soda, my crush and I started a one on one conversation. I could feel gas bubbles building up in my chest, but I didn't want to give up this amazing opportunity! So, we continued to talk, and out of nowhere I burped really loudly in his face! I guess I couldn't hold it in anymore; it was like a hot air balloon had exploded onto him. As I squeaked out an "excuse me," he slowly got up and walked away. He was really disgusted and hasn't talked to me since that day, and I've stuck to drinking water with my lunch.
